The Hollywood Collection

Inspired by the costumes worn by Lorelei Lee and Dorothy Shaw, played by the incomparable Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell in the 1953 film.

The gold top is inspired by Monroe's notoriously risque gold dress in her 'Piggy' dance scene.

The burlesque style bottom comes from the fishnet stockings and laced up corsets worn in the Paris shows.

The final touch is a full red rose; gold roses were used in the publicity costumes and the red is in honour of the opening number.

The Devil Wears Prada

"It is a truth universally acknowledged..."

That at Baking Whoopie we love a cake that tells a story and this cake is based on one of the best.

The book and tea chest are both made of cake and are joined by a flower paste tea cup and saucer, sugar flowers, an edible letter(!) and finished with a royal icing fan.

Fans of the story will know the ladies of Pride and Prejudice read a lot of books, drank a lot of tea and wrote a lot of letters - now you can join them in cake form!
