What size is a portion?

We quote 'Dessert Portions' as standard, which in our case are 1 x 2 inches.

All of our standard cakes contain 4 layers of sponge and 3 layers of filling, plus the icing coat and decorative layer. All in all, this makes them over 4 inches tall, so the portion isn't quite as small as you might think!

Wedding cakes are usually served in 1 x 1 inch pieces; for the end of the meal at a wedding, this size will be more than adequate to give your guests a taste of your cake without stuffing them so full they can't move.

Those who need more can always have another slice...
